Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America is an actress and singer. Parents are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. Her family was born in Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen is Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen's talent for entertainment was discovered at a very young age. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother prior to the age of 13 and was subsequently cast as a model on newspapers and television commercials. Now, Bell also begins classes in acting for herself. Bell played an uncredited part on Polish Wedding (1998), the film that was released in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School, where she took part in both the music and drama club. When her school staged a stage production The Wizard of Oz, Bell was chosen to play Dorothy. Bell went on to study music theatre in the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell left the university in 2001 to take on the role of Becky of Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell was the first to make her credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however the scene she played was removed from the film, and her appearance was only on the screen credits. Bell played featured in the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
